News The New BMW M4 CS

Two years after unveiling the M4 CSL, BMW has sent a new beast onto the streets: the M4 CS. Positioned between the M4 Competition and the more hardcore CSL version, it delivers an exciting driving experience enhanced by stronger performance, lower weight, and sharper styling.

At the heart of this car is an upgraded 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six engine producing an impressive 543 horsepower. Thanks to increased boost pressure and precisely tuned engine management software, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 303 km/h. For enthusiasts craving precision, BMW recorded an impressive Nürburgring Nordschleife lap time of 7:21.99, showcasing the CS model’s track capabilities.

To complement its powerful drivetrain, the chassis has been carefully engineered to enhance handling and agility. With new wheel camber settings, anti-roll bars, and adaptive dampers, the CS delivers exceptional cornering power and stability. The electrically assisted steering provides precise feedback, while the reprogrammed stability control system allows drivers to push their limits with confidence, whether attacking demanding sections of a racetrack or driving through the city.

BMW seems to be pulling out all the stops when it comes to shedding weight and increasing speed. In the M4 CS, CFRP (carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic) is used for nearly everything. This lightweight material runs throughout the car, from top to bottom, and plays a major role in its performance-focused design.

On the outside, the M4 CS has a highly aggressive appearance, with unmistakable styling that helps it stand out from the crowd. Performance is further enhanced by exposed carbon-fiber elements on both the hood and the roof, not to mention the front splitter and rear spoiler, which also improve aerodynamics while giving the car an even more dominant presence on the road.

Inside, the cockpit seamlessly blends luxury and performance. The flat-bottom, three-spoke steering wheel wrapped in Alcantara not only improves grip and control, but also adds a distinctly sporty feel to the interior. Reflecting BMW’s latest technological advances, the CS features an innovative curved display. This interface, which combines a digital instrument cluster with a touchscreen, gives drivers easy access to information and entertainment features.

BMW will begin production of the 2025 M4 CS in July 2024 at its Dingolfing plant in Germany. While the car’s weight has gone down, its price certainly will not. Pricing for the M4 CS has not yet been confirmed, but it is expected to start at around €140,000.
